Rishi Kapoor Bids Adieu

Veteran actor Rishi Kapoor died after a two-year-long battle with cancer. He succumbed to prolonged illness.
Rishi, who was suffering from cancer, was taken to the H N Reliance hospital by his family.“He remained jovial and determined to live to the fullest right through two years of treatment across two continents.Family, friends, food and films remained his focus and everyone who met him during this time was amazed at how he did not let his illness get the better of him," the family said in a statement.Rishi kapoor was survived by his wife Nitu kapoor son Ranbir Kapoor and daughter Ridhima kapoor.  Bollywood is facing twin blow in successive two days when Legendary stars Irfan and Rishi Kapoor both passed away in.Rishi kapoor was the heartthrob of youths, gained fame from the sensational movie Bobby.Since His father’s 1955 comedy drama Shree 420 Rishi  Kapoor  barely  ever  left the camera once the acting bug had  bitten him.ln the  nearly  50 years of his active film career he gained much accolades in the Bollywood film industry. The veteran Hindi film actor who  breathed  his  last  at  the H.N. Reliance Foundation Hospital  in  Mumbai on Thursday morning was 67 and had been admitted after complaining of breathing  problems. Diagnosed with cancer in  2018,  Kapoor had sought treatment  in  New York, and returned  to  India  a  year  later. He was very keen to resume work. From dancing around trees in knitted pullovers in umpteen romantic films in the 1970s to taking on older character roles to  suit  his  age  and  changing times.Rishi Kapoor  remained  for the  veteran  Hindi  film  actor. He was always committed to the camera and the craft. He followed the idea of not resting on the laurels of his iconic actor filmmaker father,Raj Kapoor and grandfather Prithviraj kapoor. He debuted  as  a child artiste with his  father’s Mera Naam  Joker (1970).Rishi Kapoor  made  his  first lead appearance in cult romantic film Bobby (1973) with Dimple Kapadia. This film also was directed by his father. While  critics today would easily crown him the child of nepotism. But Rishi Kapoor maintained  throughout his life that the  only  reason  his  illustrious father  gave  him  a  job  was because he couldn’t afford an established  name, having lost all  his money in the iconic box office failure that was Joker. A string of popular films followed Bobby, not all successes, including  titles like Laila Majnu,Sargam,Karz,Prem Rog,Nagina, Chandni,Heena,Bol Radha  Bol,Yeh  Vaada Raha,Khel  Khel  Mein, Kabhi Kabhi,Hum Kisise Kum Naheen, and Saagar.Though renowned for his understated brilliance, Kapoor  is  still  best  remembered as the biggest romantic icon  for  the  generation  that grew up watching  him  effortlessly woo his then costar and later wife,Neetu Singh, among a  large  number  of  heroines, starting from the 70s and going on to nearly two decades later.A brief sabbatical in the late 1990s  coincided  with  Aa  Ab Laut Chalen, his sole directorial venture starring Aishwarya Rai and Akshaye Khanna that released in 1999.Rishi Kapoor returned to the screen to play older character roles  in  the 2000s,with Hum Tum (2004),Fanaa (2006),Namastey London (2007),Love  Aaj  Kal (2009),Patiala  House  (2010),Do  Dooni  Chaar (2010) and Mulk (2018),among others. He was last seen in mystery thriller The Body, released in December  2019  alongside Emraan Hashmi.Rishi Kapoor survived by his family besides the  large  Kapoor  family  comprising  brothers  Randhir  and Rajeev,  nieces  Karisma  and Kareena, and others.

.Irfan and Rishi kapoor Both actors enriched the film industry with their talent, screenpresence and charisma. While Khan was a Bollywood star who was also loved by Hollywood, and was known for his understated, yet impactful, performances, Rishi Kapoor was the evergreen heartthrob, the quintessential hero of Bollywood.Though very different in their craft, they both touched the hearts of millions across the world.Among Rishi Kapoor’s films,Bobby,Amar Akbar Anthony. Though all of modulation. He had scaledgreat heights in his career, but Irrfan never seemed to throw his weight around.Tributes show how much respect the film fraternity had for him. These are big losses for Indian cinema.Rishi made a special mark not only with hard work but also his histrionics. His forthright views won him both bouquets and brickbats.Irfan Khan seemed to know only one word surrender. He could surrender to any role with ease and aplomb. He mesmerised us with his eyes and dialogue.
